♡ Jerk Steak with Mango Sauce ♡
Ingredients...
Flank or Skirt Steak, Fresh Garlic, Olive Oil, Butter, Light Brown Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Thyme, All Spice, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Mango, Lime, Honey, 2 Jalapeno Peppers, 1 Serrano Pepper (or 3 Scotch Bonnets if you have any)
Blender Needed for Mango Sauce
Best served with rice
Start by making your marinade for the steak. Dice up garlic, jalapeno, and Serrano peppers. In a container big enough to fully cover your steak- combine olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme, all spice, cinnamon, ground ginger, brown sugar, and your previously diced garlic and peppers. Add your steak in and give it a good shake, making sure the steak is fully covered and soaked.
Allow steak to sit for a minimum of 1 hour, or an upwards of 12 hours (overnight) for maximum flavor.
In your blender- combine diced mango, olive oil, minced garlic, 1 lime (juice), and honey. Blend until fully smooth.
Sear steak on both sides until golden brown, and then evenly bast the meat on both sides with butter. Let rest and then serve with rice and mango sauce.
